City on a Hill Bible Festival 2

 

Dear friends, sa January 21, 2023 po ang date ng ating City on a Hill Bible Festival, 2nd edition. SAVE THE DATE PO. It’s the Saturday before the Sunday of the Word 2023.

Our theme: "Lord, Lead the Way!" Hango po ito sa Exodus 13:21, kung saan isinasalaysay ang simula ng paglalakbay ng mga Isaelita papunta sa kanilang Kalayaan.  Pinanguhahan sila ng presensiya ng Panginoon sa kanilang paglalakbay (“pillar of cloud by day and pillar of fire by night”).

Ang libro ng Exodus ang siyang pokus ng festival kung saan magkakaroon ng Bible Float, Bible Cheering, Bible Quiz, Bible Tiktok, at Bible Digital Poster tungkol sa libro ng ito.

Ang “Way” po sa wikang Griego ay HODOS kung saan hinango ang salitang SYNOD (SYN+HODOS), “journeying together”.  Layunin po ng festival na ito ang pagtataas ng kamalayan tungkol sa ongoing Synod of the Church sa pamamagitan ng pagpapasigla sa ating diyosesis ang pagbabasa ng Banal na Kasulatan.
